This was an awesome day.
Jeff fired more than one round with his 30 30, maybe about 4 or 5 shots (right Jeff?). He was not going to let this one get away. Turns out he only needed one shot, the first one, right through the heart. This was discovered upon field dressing the deer.

If I only would have taken the 2 bucks I ambushed I would have 4 ADK Bucks. But Im not complaining… Now im 3 for 6 because of the one I missed on my birthday… 500, need to get those odds up…(One Catskill buck taken at good friend B. “Browny”‘s house 4 pt.)

It’s a Winchester model 94 in 44 Rem Mag. Nice gun… Very easy to shoulder and hold steady…
